Artwalk – March 2022. Photography David Lindsay

In light of our 15th anniversary, we're taking some time out

For the past 15 years, Artwalk has been a platform for independent creativity in Wakefield. Through various projects, free exhibitions, and opportunities, it has drawn thousands of participants, visitors, and venues, while supporting the local economy.

Since 2018, The Art House (TAH) has been producing Artwalk. However, this month, after 10 wonderful years of dedicated coordination as a volunteer and a Member of TAH, our Programme Producer Amy Lilley will be stepping down. In the Artwalk's 15th anniversary, The Art House will be pausing it to reflect and determine how to best move forward in the future. We will consult with key stakeholders, funders, and partners during this time.

Thank you for your continued support and participation throughout the years. As avid Artwalk participants ourselves, we are confident that there will be exciting developments for this venture in the upcoming months.

For those seeking free and exciting creative opportunities in Wakefield, The Art House will still offer fun activities on the evening of July 26, 2023. We will have new exhibition celebrations, a late-night bar, and offsite projects at The Cathedral and in The Ridings with Leeds Arts University fine art students.
