The South of the city was a hive of activity for the September Artwalk, which the highlights tour took people around. The Hepworth Wakefield, Daisie Jacobs introduced her work alongside the launch of her new exhibition of cyanotypes in the cafe. at Chantry Chapel, Andi Walker exhibited their newly commissioned quilt 'Stitched Stories' which was a project undertook at Yorkshire Sculpture Park in the Summer. Artist Helen Riddle showed her work in progress for her Culture Grants funded project 'A Stitch in Time'.
Artwalkers were invited to have their portrait taken photographically by Keremy Aldis in Wakefield Cathedral, alongside the launch of Permindar Kaur, Ranya Abdulateef and Ifa Mesfin Abebe collaborative artwork 'Dream Runner'.
The Art House launched the Disabled Photographers Society annual exhibition and celebrated the work of children through their Summer S'cool exhibition. Wakefield based artists displayed their work in a number of businesses in the city, including The Polka Hop, KRA:FT and Jordans Solicitors.
